Many believers know their Bibles far better than the man in the pulpit, and indeed have far more insight than they are given credit for.
The fact is that the true proof and evidence of faith in Christ Jesus, is an unselfish love that reaches out in genuiness and compassion to touch the hurting, the needy, the suffering, the prisoner, the lonely, the unwanted, the unsaved and unloved people of the world. Such love is demonstrated in kindness and compassion especially amongst those who are also like-believers in Christ Jesus.
Without such God-given love, the same love that walked Jesus to the cross to give up His life in order to save a wretch like me, without such love, I say, there is no true Christianity.
It matters not whether you are in the band or choir, or whether you are an elder or even a pastor 'ministering' each week, I say again, without such love, our so-called service is just a clanging broken gong that is nothing but a bad din in everyone's ears.
You may speak in 'tongues', you may have a fine voice; you may speak like an angel and dress like royalty, but without the love of God shed abroad and flowing from your heart, you are nothing but a hypocrite in God's sight. Your church may have the finest instruments and the most talented musicians, you may sing the latest songs and choruses, and all raise your hands in the worship session, BUT without the heart of God it is but a bad smell of pretence and never ever reaches heaven.
You may be a pastor who loves the admiration of the people, and struts up and down in your best Sunday suit, BUT God knows your heart, and God hears the words you speak after you have left the service. You can talk a whole lot about God and Jesus, but not have the slightest friendship or relationship with Him. And that is why you can choose to love some, and reject others, because your heart is prejudiced and partial, and totally unlike the heart of God.
You claim to love God, who you cannot see, but feel free to abuse, despise, slander, mock and even hate the life of someone you can see who was created in the likeness of God, and for the glory and pleasure of God.
How many lives have been distressed, wounded, cut, dismayed, or destroyed by the selfish and false pretensions of a 'believer' or church leader, who claims God has 'called' him or her to the ministry?!
And then many more stay at home because they seem to get more 'food' from the television 'evangelist', and feel that this is an alternative to the meeting with true loving believers (if you can find any). Sadly, the televangelist message and doctrine is often far away from the plan and purpose of God, but still, they have mastered the art of ‘selling’ their make-believe ‘gospel’ of prosperity to people who are desperate to climb the ladder of wealth, or just climb out of the financial pit they are currently in. These so-called ‘men and women of God’ are more concerned with the pleasures of this world, than the judgement to come.
They will, some day soon, be woken up very loudly!
Eventually, those who leave their churches and switch on Christian TV, will also come to realise that the 'god-channel-self-proclaiming church' of the new age is nothing but an emotional sales gimmick ready to fleece anyone and everyone who submits to their continual banter and heretical teaching. (It is of course true that from time to time a decent message gets preached by someone who is not necessarily in their usual 'crib'.)
Multitudes are brainwashed into believing that the god-channel (lower case) has some 'divine mandate' to be the 'end-time means of evangelising the world', and all you have to do to get part of the heavenly reward is to send your MONEY to them, not once, nor twice a year!
This is the most damnable lie since Adam and Eve were tricked in the Garden of Eden. Satan has certainly thrown a web of deceit over multitudes of well-meaning, but unwise Christians.
Everyone of us are called to be witnesses and to go ourselves as individuals into all the world around us, and proclaim the salvation which is in Christ Jesus. Each one of us can have our own evangelistic plan and programme, and put our money and resources where we can take responsibility for that investment, and not just throw it to some fancy-pants spiritual 'guru' or self-admiring 'Christian' television business.
Neither the 'god-channel', nor any other man-made device has ever superseded the simple command of Jesus Christ, "Go ye into all the world, and you proclaim the good news'.
A new 'Reformation' is needed like never before, or it will be too late to recover from the downward spiral of spiritual lazyness, deception, and spiritual wickedness in high places, whether those places are in the pulpit, or in the heavenly realm.
When the electricity goes off, and when the economic crisis reaches the all-out crash that is looming not so far ahead, how will you survive without the sleek television bible-millionaires telling you that everything is fine, and if you keep tithing to their ministry you will soon become very rich like them?
And then how will the world hear about Jesus? How will they come to find the answer to the nightmare of a planet in dire trouble? They will look to the church buildings perhaps...... but who will be there?
So they will look for people who 'really know their God, especially in troubled times', and who demonstrate the tangible love of God in their lives.
The church will grow from the ground, in houses, in fields, in disused factories, in caves, on the beach, in fact, just about wherever people can meet together to find refuge, comfort and shelter.
You think I am an alarmist?
Yes, you are right;
but then I am called
to sound an alarm!
.It's time to wake up! It’s getting late!
There's coming a day when the sun won't shine;
You'll wake up - find you're left behind.
